Ramps
At Carolina Disability Renovations, we have the expertise to make any home, office, workplace or building more accessible. We provide several different ramps depending on your individual needs.
Accessibility
Modular Ramps
Modular Ramps are designed to address the accessibility needs of the homeowner in a safe, modern fashion. The EZ-Access Modular Ramp system is an excellent choice when your accessibility needs extend beyond the scope of a portable ramp. The efficient design uses less hardware, and no pre-assembly is required.
They are quick and convenient to install and remove and are proudly made in the USA.
Features and Benefits of EZ-Access Modular Ramps include:
- Easy installation – Install a 24 ft. system, including handrails, in less than 30 minutes!
- Ramps, handrails, and platforms are pre-assembled to save time
- 850 lb. weight capacity and 36″ width
- Sides are finished and flush, with no hazardous nuts or bolts protruding onto the usable ramp area
- Handrails improve grip and ensure superior appearance
- Access ramps and platforms are made of lightweight aluminum
- Exclusive “patent pending” connecting system eliminates drilling and riveting handrails, and anchoring into concrete footings or pads is not required

- Skid resistant surface
- Low maintenance
- Configure a ramp system for almost any site

Threshold Ramps
The EZ-Access Modular Threshold ramp is a lightweight, yet durable free-standing wheelchair access ramp designed for doorways, sliding glass doors and raised landings. The modular design, with its interchangeable components, easily accommodates thresholds from 3/4" to 6" high. This seam- free ramp is 34" wide and ideal for use with wheelchairs, walkers, and cane users. It is made of anodized aluminum and is intended for indoor and outdoor use.

Custom Ramps
Carolina Disability Renovations designs and builds custom wheelchair access ramps. Typically, built out of pressure-treated wood or concrete with metal handrails. Composite materials have also gained popularity for being eco-friendly, maintenance-free and durable. While more expensive than a modular ramp, custom ramps typically add value to a home. In some communities, a custom-built ramp is required to meet HOA requirements.
Grab Bars
Carolina Disability Renovations installs grab bars in all shapes and sizes. We have specialized fasteners that allow safety bars to be installed exactly where they are needed. If we are unable to match the grab bar’s location to the wall framing, we can use wall anchors that allow us to achieve a safe installation rating that exceeds ADA guidelines. Our grab bars are made from stainless steel and come with a lifetime guarantee.
We sell several different types, finishes and sizes of safety bars so we can meet your grab bar needs quickly. We also offer designer styles that will complement your existing bathroom décor and fixtures.
Lifts

Stair Lift
A stair lift is the preferred method of getting from one floor to another for someone with limited mobility. The stair lift attaches directly to the steps and can be easily removed if the home is sold.
The ability to get to second floor living areas can spell the difference between staying in your home or being forced to move out. Stair lifts are available for straight as well as curved stairs and typically installation is completed in only one day.

Wheelchair Lift
If there’s one place in the world that should be accessible to those in wheelchairs, it’s their own home. Look at the benefits of installing a vertical chair lift:
- Stylish, compact wheelchair lift design that blends in with the home’s surroundings.
- Powerful performance with a 750 pound lift rating
- Peace of mind with an amazing number of safety features.
Safety and ease of use are important considerations for providing access to your entire home for disabled or aging loved ones. Carolina Disability Renovations has the construction expertise and experience to ensure your lift is installed correctly.
